So these are a less durable version because I made them in a hurry but for future outdoor use,  I would have drilled holes in the golf balls and used wired for legs and then spray painted it all.   But since these will be indoors and on a counter,  I just used tempra paint.

You will need:
3 golf balls per ant and 1 per other critter.
Black paint and whatever colors your other critters are.  I did a frog an two birds but you could do a bee or ladybug or something too.
Paint brushes
Bring sequins for eyeballs
Bottle caps to hold up the balls as they dry
Pipe cleaners
Scissors
Gorrilla glue  (I tried glue gun first and it just doesn’t stay)

OK so first you paint your balls.   This doesn’t take that long to dry but maybe multiple layers and will never to be propped up to dry.

Then flip over and paint the other side.
While drying cut your pipe cleaners.  For the ants I used one for all 6 legs because they are so small. And then one for 4 antennae.  For the frog I used one for all the legs. For the birds,  I used one for the beak and legs and one for the tail.

Then slowly start gluing on the pieces.    I did face first but you can do in whatever order.

And then bend legs accordingly and let dry.
And you’re done.
