This is super yummy and has a good shock of healthy!
Chocolate banana Popsicles!
You will need:
Dark baking chocolate
Unsweetened baking chocolate
Popsicle sticks or skewers
Peel the bananas. Cut the bananas in half. If they are especially large, cut know thirds.
Put on a plate and throw in the freezer for 15 minutes so they firm up.
Then remove and push the skewer through the flat part of the banana.
Cover a plate or two with wax paper.
Melt the chocolate in a wide mouthed bowl. Microwave for about a minute and then in 15 second intervals. Make half the unsweetened and half the dark chocolate and mix well. This provides a healthy boost of antioxidants with a smaller sugar content.
Dip the banana in the chocolate to and spread the chocolate all over the banana with a spoon.
Place back onto the wax paper sheet.
Repeat for all bananas.
Sprinkle nuts on top.
Flip over the bananas and cover any ‘bald’ spots with more chocolate and nuts.
Then return to freezer for about an hour until firm and ready to serve.
